India vs England 2nd Test Update

India vs England 2nd Test Update: Due to Visa issue, Shoaib Bashir could not reach on India with the England team. After completion of the visa issue, Bashir is set to debut against India in 2nd test match in Vizag.

England made two changes to their playing XI from their side, the 20-year-old off-spinner Shoaib Bashir and a pacer James Anderson. Anderson became the oldest seamer to bowl in a Test in India.

Shoaib Bashir was included in England’s squad for the five-match test series against India but couldn’t participate in the first test in Hyderabad due to visa issues. The delay in his visa approval, attributed to his Pakistani heritage, he faced a setback after a training camp in Abu Dhabi, causing him to miss the transfer with his teammates to Hyderabad for the first test. He had to return to London and, after obtaining approval, arrived in India last weekend. He will be replacing Jack Leach in the playing XI. Leach suffered a knee injury while fielding on the first day of the first test match in Hyderabad. Basir played only 6 first class matches, taking 10 wickets.

Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul have been ruled out of the second IDFC First Bank Test against England in Vizag, starting February 02. Jadeja sustained a hamstring injury and Kl Rahul suffered with quadriceps pain sustained in the first test in Hyderabad.

The BCCI’s Men’s Selection Committee have been added Sarfaraz Khan, Sourabh Kumar, and Washington Sundar to India’s squad.

Sarfaraz Naushad Khan is a right-handed batter born on 22 October 1997 in Mumbai. He represented India in the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2014 and 2016. Due to injuries to Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul in the first Test against England in Hyderabad, he has been called up.

Sourabh Kumar is an all rounder also added to India test squad. Washington Sundar as a all rounder placed in India’s test squad.

India’s standout batsman Virat Kohli will be absent for the initial two Tests against England. Due to some personal reasons, Virat requested the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to be excluded from the squad for the first two Tests against England.
