ICC U19 World Cup 2024 Semi-final path: After the completion of the group stage on Sunday (January 28), 12 teams will advance into the Super Six phase. A total of 12 matches will be played in the Super Six Stage where 6 matches are already completed. Another 6 matches will be played on Feb 2 and Feb 3.
Following the completion of the Super Six stage fixtures, the top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinal stage. The winners of the semifinals will then compete in the final on February 11th, 2024.
U19 World Cup 2024 Semi-final path
Even though India, Pakistan, and Australia have maintained unbeaten records in the tournament, no team has secured a spot in the semi-finals. It is anticipated that the final four teams are to be qualify for semi-final by their net run rate (NRR).
Group 1
India U19 Qualify Path

Remaining match – India vs Nepal, February 2, 2024
India strongly fixes a spot in the semi-finals if they win their final match against Nepal. In the semi-finals, India would face the second-placed team from Group 2.
If India loses to Nepal, India could potentially miss the semi-finals. But if Pakistan would defeat Bangladesh, then also qualifies for the Semi-final Stage.
If India lost to Nepal and also Bangladesh defeated Pakistan, and both teams finished the Super Six phase with a higher net run rate than India, then India could not enter to Semi-final.
Pakistan U19 Qualify Path

Similar to their arch-rival India, Pakistan is also maintaining an undefeated record in the tournament, placing them in a favorable position to secure a spot in the semi-finals.
A victory against Bangladesh in Benoni on Saturday would fix their qualification.
Even a narrow loss might be sufficient for Pakistan to advance to the semi-final, provided their net run rate remains ahead of Bangladesh.
Bangladesh U19 Qualify Path

Bangladesh will secure a place in the final four if they defeat Pakistan by a margin that elevates their net run rate above Pakistan, positioning them in favorably for the second spot in Group 1.
However, a loss to Pakistan or a narrow victory would result in Bangladesh missing out on a semi-final match.
New Zealand U19 Qualify Path

New Zealand’s hopes for reaching the semi-finals were dashed by a disappointing 214-run loss to India in Bloemfontein. Although their chances have slimmed, still New Zealand has one more match to play.

Australia U19 Qualify Path

Remaining match – Australia vs West Indies, February 2, 2024
Australia maintains an undefeated record in U19 CWC, a win against the West Indies will guarantee Australia a spot in the semi-finals.
Even in the loss to the West Indies, there is a possibility for Australia to progress with their net run rate of +2.781.
South Africa U19 Qualify Path

Remaining match – South Africa vs Sri Lanka, February 2, 2024
South Africa suffered only one defeat in the event so far and secure a spot in the semi-final if won the match against Sri Lanka. This win would be sufficient for the South Africa to qualify for the knockout stages.
Even in the case of a narrow loss to Sri Lanka, there is still a chance for qualification if Australia victory over the West Indies.
West Indies U19 Qualify Path

To fix a spot for Semi-final, West Indies have to defeat Australia in their upcoming Super Six match in Kimberley.
