Opener Jordan Neill was dismissed by Ubaid Shah after scoring just 4 runs. In the initial 10 overs, Ireland managed only 22 runs with the loss of one wicket.

Ryan Hunter, who played somewhat cautiously, was also sent back by Ali Raza. Gavin Roulston’s poor form led to his dismissal by Ahmad Hassan. Captain Philippus le Roux fell victim to Ahmad Hassan as well, and Kian Hilton, adding 12 runs, was caught by Amir Hassan.
