Pakistan won the toss and opted to bowl first against the U19 Ireland team. Jordan Neill and Ryan Hunter initiated the Ireland innings cautiously, struggling to score against Pakistan’s strong bowling attack. Opener Jordan Neill was dismissed by Ubaid Shah after scoring just 4 runs. In the initial 10 overs, Ireland managed only 22 runs with the loss of one wicket.

Ryan Hunter, who played somewhat cautiously, was also sent back by Ali Raza. Gavin Roulston’s poor form led to his dismissal by Ahmad Hassan. Captain Philippus le Roux fell victim to Ahmad Hassan as well, and Kian Hilton, adding 12 runs, was caught by Amir Hassan.

The middle order of Ireland began to rebuild the innings, with Harry Dyer and John McNally forming a crucial partnership to stabilize Ireland after the shaky start. Harry Dyer contributed a valuable 31 runs but was dismissed by Haroon Arshad. In a challenging situation, John McNally achieved a half-century but was unfortunately bowled out by Ali Raza. Oliver Riley added the finishing touches with 18 runs, pushing the total to 181/10.

Ubaid Shah secured three wickets, while Amir Hassan, Ali Raza, and Ahmad Hassan each took two wickets. Haroon Arshad claimed one wicket.

After a shaky start, the Ireland team posted a total of 181 runs. Although it seemed like an achievable target for the Pakistan U19 team, as the match progressed, Pakistan faced difficulties against Ireland’s bowling.

Pakistan’s openers Shamyl Hussain and Shahzaib Khan began the run chase of 182 runs, but Shahzaib Khan was dismissed by Reuben Wilson after contributing only 11 runs. Subsequently, Oliver Riley removed Hussain.

After losing both openers, Azan Awais and skipper Saad Baig formed a crucial partnership. Awais added 21 runs, and Baig contributed 25 runs before both were dismissed by Harry Dyer.

In a challenging situation where Ireland’s bowling continuously claimed wickets, Ahmad Hassan played an unbeaten innings of 57 runs. Haroon Arshad added a crucial 25 runs in the lower order. Pakistan secured a victory over Ireland in the Super Six Stage, remaining in the 2nd position in the points table.

Harry Dyer delivered an exceptional bowling performance, claiming crucial four wickets. Reuben Wilson, Oliver Riley, and Jordan Neill each took one wicket.
