Matthew Wade did not show his batting performance, in the first over he dismissed by Joel Paris. Then Caleb Jewell and Macalister Wright played a crucial partnership in powerplay for Hurricanes.

Macalister Wright scoring 33 runs from 19 balls, removed by Usama Mir. Glenn maxwell dismissed Sam Hain at 11 runs. Hobart Hurricanes’s bowler consistently taking wickets, especially in the middle overs.
