After losing the toss, Brisbane Heat opted to bat first at Sydney ground. The powerplay was lackluster, losing Peirson in the first over. Nathan McSweeney and Josh Brown then steadied the innings, with the latter seizing opportunities against Ben Dwarshius and Hayden Kerr to achieve a valuable fifty. But Ben Dwarshius dismissed captain McSweeney and Josh Brown lbw by Steve Okeefe.
However, Steve O’Keefe dismissed Brown in his final over in the BBL. Matt Renshaw played a crucial cameo, delivering powerful shots and scoring a quickfire 40 off just 22 balls. The power surge proved expensive for the Sixers, conceding 31 runs.
Despite this, the Sixers made a strong comeback as Sean Abbott claimed three wickets in his final over, concluding with figures of 4/32. Steve Okeefe and Ben Dwarshuis each claimed one wicket. Brisbane Heat compiled a well-constructed innings of 166/8, setting the stage for a thrilling final at the SCG.

Brisbane Heat saw Josh Brown scoring a fifty, accompanied by valuable contributions from Renshaw and McSweeney, leading them to a total of 166 runs.
In the run chase, the Sydney Sixers faced early setbacks with the dismissal of Daniel Hughes in the first over and Jack Edwards by Spencer Johnson. Although Sixers’ captain Moises Henriques and Josh Philippe formed a decent partnership, the innings took a downturn after their dismissals.
Spencer Johnson became star claimed four wickets, and Xavier Bartlett sealed the victory with two wickets in his second over. The middle order of the Sixers did not contributed run to the scoreboard, and the last wicket of Steve O’Keefe, fell in 18th over of final BBL game. Sydney Sixers managed to score only 112/10.
