Despite losing the toss and being asked to bat, India displayed an impressive batting performance. Although India faced an early setback with the dismissal of Arshin Kulkarni. Adarsh Singh and Musheer Khan formed a crucial partnership that balanced India’s scoreboard, contributing to a 50-run stand.
Although Adarsh Singh reached a half-century, he was dismissed by Zac Cumming. Musheer Khan continued his solid performance along with captain Uday Saharan, and built another crucial 50-run partnership, laying a strong foundation for India. India posted a substantial score on the board 295/8.
Musheer not only achieved a remarkable century (131 runs) but also accelerated the scoring, guiding India towards the 300-run mark. Sachin Dhas further boosted India’s total with 15 runs of 11 runs.
Mason Clarke excelled in the death overs, claiming a four-wicket haul, while Cumming stood out as another notable bowler for the New Zealand. Ryan Tsourgas, Ewald Schreuder, and Oliver Tewatiya each claimed one wicket.

After India set a commanding total of 295 on the scoreboard, led by a fantastic century from Musheer Khan and a fifty from Adarsh Singh, India established themselves in a favorable condition.
Raj Limbani taking a couple of wickets in the first over, sent back Tom Jones and Snehith Reddy to golden duck. During powerplay Saumy Pandey also made an impact with two wickets, he dismissed Lachlan Stackpole and James Nelson.
The New Zealand batsmen struggled with the disciplined bowling from the Indian bowler, resulting in a continuous of wicket fall. Only four batters managed to reach double digits, highlighting the dominance of the Indian bowlers.
Every bowler contributed to the wickets, with Saumy Pandey standing out with a four-wicket haul. It was a day where the Indian team excelled in all aspects, while New Zealand faced challenges throughout the match.
