With Zak Crawley’s dismissal by Ashwin, Duckett and Ollie Pope create a strong partnership, steadily continue England’s innings. Duckett played an outstanding innings against India’s bowling attack, played some wonderful shorts. But Siraj broke this partnership by removing Pope.
Bumrah’s early dismissal of Joe Root triggered a significant collapse in England’s batting lineup. Kuldeep Yadav, who faced the brunt of the attack previously, showed remarkable improvement with dismissing Bairstow to golden duck. India delivered an outstanding performance, especially considering the challenging circumstances they faced.

Yashasvi who retired hurt on Saturday built a partnership of 100 runs with debutant Sarfaraz Khan in just 87 balls. In the 85th over of India’s second innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal achieved his double century, against James Anderson, the legendary fast bowler smashing three consecutive sixes, breaking several records in the process.
Sarfaraz Khan’s arrival saw an increase in the scoring rate, pushing India’s total 430/4, with lead 556.

In the second innings, with a target of 557, English batters were seen struggling from the very beginning and losing the wickets. Duckett’s run-out added to England’s woes. By 122, they lost all of their wickets and lost the Test too. England crumbled under the relentless pressure of India’s runs, collapsing to 122 in the fourth innings.
The last two days have entirely belonged to India. India’s dominance led to an early conclusion on day 4.
