India vs England 3rd test: Jaiswal hit 2 double century against England and set a new Indian record on Sunday as he became the first Indian batter to hit most sixes in a single inning of Test cricket. He slammed his second consecutive double-century against England on Sunday in Rajkot.
Jaiswal ranks became the third youngest player to achieve two Test double centuries, following behind Vinod Kambli (21 years and 54 days) and Don Bradman (21 years and 318 days).
The 22-year-old opener Yashasvi Jaiswal shattered the record for the most sixes by an Indian batsman in a Test innings during the third Test against England in Rajkot, hitting a total of 12 sixes during the second session on Day 4. This achievement broke a 30-year-old record previously held by former batsman Navjot Singh Sidhu.
Yashasvi who retired hurt on Saturday built a partnership of 100 runs with debutant Sarfaraz Khan in just 87 balls. In the 85th over of India’s second innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal achieved his double century, against James Anderson, the legendary fast bowler smashing three consecutive sixes, breaking several records in the process.

Yashasvi dominates England’s bowling lineup by hitting 12 sixes. He also hit three consecutive sixes in a single over.
Jaiswal (545*) also surpassed Sourav Ganguly’s record (534 against Pakistan in 2007) for the highest runs scored by an Indian left-handed batsman in a Test series at home.
