India made two changes Jadeja and KL Rahul are unavailable, while Siraj has been rested. In their places, Mukesh Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, and debutant Rajat Patidar have been included.

After Rohit’s dismissal, Jaiswal and Gill formed a crucial partnership. But England’s standout bowler James Anderson broke the partnership by removing Gill at 34 runs. Shreyas Iyer also adding 27 runs fell victim to Tom Hartley.
Yashasvi Jaiswal the standout performer of the 1st innings became the third youngest Indian to score double century, amassing 209 runs. Notably, he was the sole Indian batter to achieve a substantial score. India concluded the first innings with a total of 396/10.
Despite Jaiswal’s brilliance, James Anderson, debutant Shoaib Bashir, and Rehan Ahmed each secured three wickets, while Tom Hartley claimed one, highlighting England’s bowling prowess.

England had a promising start with Duckett and Zax Crawley making a 59-run partnership for the opening wicket, However, Kuldeep Yadav intervened, breaking the partnership by dismissing Duckett. Crawley showcased brilliance, contributing 76 runs effectively but was eventually dismissed by Axar Patel.
Jasprit Bumrah’s subsequent seam bowling spell proved impactful, leading to the removal of Joe Root. Shortly after, Ollie Pope also fell victim to Bumrah, diminishing the potency of England’s aggressive middle order.
Although Bairstow and Captain Ben Stokes displayed positive batting, Bumrah’s prowess dismissed both, preventing their partnership from turning into a substantial innings. England concluded their 1st innings with a score of 253/10, resulting in India taking a lead of 143 runs.
Bumrah delivered an incredible bowling performance in the 1st innings, securing a six-wicket haul. Kuldeep Yadav played a crucial role, contributing three wickets, while Axar Patel claimed one. Notably, Ravichandran Ashwin remained wicketless in this inning.

Facing a shaky start, Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma took the crease for the 2nd innings. Unfortunately, James Anderson disrupted their efforts by dismissing both Rohit Sharma and Jaiswal.
Shubman Gill, in partnership with Shreyas Iyer, then formed a crucial partnership. Gill emerged as India’s top scorer, overcoming a shaky start to gain confidence and achieve his third Test century, amassing 104 runs. Although initially supported by Axar (45 runs), the Indian lower order faced a rapid collapse after their dismissals. However, Ravichandran Ashwin contributed 29 runs towards the end, concluding the 2nd innings with a total of 255/10. India holds a commanding lead of 398 runs.
Tom Hartley claimed four wickets, while Rehan Ahmed took three, James Anderson with two wickets and Shoaib Bashir contributed with the crucial dismissal of Gill.

Chasing a target of 399 in the fourth innings is always a formidable challenge, especially against India. Opener and Ben Duckett started strongly. Ducket adding 28 runs dismissed by Ashwin. Rehan Ahmed contributed 23 runs but fell victim to Axar Patel, while the dangerous Ollie Pope (23 runs) also succumbed to Ashwin’s bowling. In a consecutive over, Ashwin dismissed Joe Root for 16 runs.
Despite the English batters not contributing significantly, India consistently secured wickets at regular intervals. Zak Crawley emerged as the top scorer for England in the 2nd innings, adding a crucial 73 runs, but his innings concluded as he fell victim to Kuldeep Yadav.
India made a strong comeback after the defeat in Hyderabad to clinch victory in the Vizag Test. Two standout performances played a pivotal role in this success. Yashasvi Jaiswal shone with the bat in the first innings, Jasprit Bumrah, on the other hand, delivered an extraordinary spell 6/45. He continued his impact in the second innings, securing three wickets to end England’s resistance.
