ICC Player of the Month January nominees revealed: Amy Hunter from Ireland and two players from Australia’s women’s cricket team have been nominated for the ICC Player of the Month for January. Additionally, from the men’s teams, West Indies’ Joseph, England’s Pope, and the well-known Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood are also among the nominees.

Alyssa Healy (Australia)
Alyssa Healy the captain Australia women’s team kicked off this January month with a rapid 82 runs in the third ODI against India in Mumbai, contributing significantly to her team’s 3-0 series sweep. She also hit another half-century during the T20I leg of their subcontinent tour
Healy further showcased her form in the three-match T20I series against India, accumulating scores of 8, 28, and 56. Her outstanding performances led to her being named Player of the Series as Australia secured a narrow 2-1 series victory.
Healy delivered a trio of solid innings against South Africa at home. She concluded January with a total of 174 T20I runs at an average of 29.
Amy Hunter (Ireland)
Amy Hunter is a right-handed batter started the month with scores of 36* and 21 runs and against Zimbabwe. She showcased her prowess by notching an unbeaten century against in Ireland T20I series. Against Zimbabwe she continued her batting performance with scores of 77* and 42, contributing her team’s comprehensive series win over Zimbabwe.
Throughout the three T20Is in January, Hunter accumulated total of 220 runs. Her consistent performances underscored her rising stature in the cricketing world.
Beth Mooney (Australia)
The 30-year-old Beth Mooney started the month with three half-centuries in T20I matches against India and South Africa.
In third T20I against India in Mumbai Mooney maintained her usual form and hit 50+ score. She continued her impressive spell, scored 72* and 82 runs, got Player of the Series against South Africa.
Mooney amassed a total of 256 runs with a strike rate more than 100, playing a pivotal role in Australia’s victories in both series against India and South Africa.

Josh Hazlewood (Australia)
The Australian bowler Josh Hazlewood showcased his best form during ICC World Test Championship action in January, securing a total of 19 wickets with an impressive average of just 11.63.
He started the new year with a four-wicket haul in the second innings at the SCG, contributing to Australia’s 3-0 series sweep over Pakistan. He claimed a total of nine wickets as the reigning World Test Championship champions comfortably defeated the West Indies in Adelaide.
In the second Test against the West Indies at the Gabba, Hazlewood secured another five wickets to his tally, concluding an outstanding month.
Shamar Joseph (West Indies)
Shamar Joseph is a right-arm bowler made his Test cricket debut by claiming four wickets against Australia and finishing with sensational figures of 5/94 in Adelaide. Despite coming in at No.11, he displayed commendable batting skills with 36 and 15 runs.
Joseph’s outstanding performance resulted an unexpected victory over Australia in the second Test in Brisbane. He concluded the match with figure 7/68, contributing West Indies’s first Test victory in Australia since 1997.
Across two Tests, Joseph accumulated 57 runs and also taking 13 wickets.
Ollie Pope (England)
Ollie Pope played an exceptional innings, scoring a magnificent 196 runs in the second inning, England won surprising victory over India in Hyderabad. This 196 score is the highest Test score away from home and became the fourth-largest Test innings by an England men’s player in India.
