India delivered an incredible batting performance. Choosing to bat, India lost four early wickets (22/4). Afghanistan bowlers show an increadible bowling performance but Captain Rohit Sharma, had a blazing start, putting the Afghan on the back foot in the middle over. Rohit maintained his aggressive batting style, while Rinku Singh adopted a more judicious approach initially. Together, they incrementally built the partnership, propelling India to post the 212-run mark.
Rinku Singh notched 69 runs of 39 balls while Rohit Sharma scored unbeaten 121 runs off just 69 balls, become the first player to achieve five T20I centuries.
Fareed Ahmad claimed three wickets while Azmatullah took only one wicket.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran laid the foundation stone, but the momentum faltered as they slipped to 107/3. Gulbadin Nabi hit a rapid 16-ball 34, and then Naib took charge, consistently finding boundaries. Both openers scored half centuries. Mohammad Nabi added crucial 34 runs off 16 balls, being dismissed by Washington Sundar.
Gulbadin remain unbeaten 23-ball 55*, despite a commanding 93-run opening partnership, the climax unfolded in the last two overs, requiring 36 runs. Avesh conceded 17 in the 19th over, and Mukesh gave away 18 in the final over. Afghanistan scored a total of 212/6.
