Namibia has secured a spot in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 which is to be held in West Indies and the USA after delivering an exceptional performance against Tanzania at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier in Windhoek. Namibia’s top order provided solid starts, with Smit’s aggressive 40 runs. The 2024 edition will have 20 teams for the first time. The group stage will comprise four groups, each consisting of five teams means a total of 20 teams. The matches will be played in a single round-robin format, and the top two teams from each group will advance to the Super 8 stage.
Super 8 team
After the group stage, the top two teams from each group will be assigned to two groups containing four each in the Super 8 stage. This stage will be played in a single round-robin format, and the top two teams from each group will progress to the knockout stage.
Semi-finals
The top two qualifying teams of each group will then advance to the knockout stage.
