A Strong Captainship – Uday Saharan
Uday Saharan is not only a good batter also a good leader. He managed the team very well, cooperate with all player, could not be angry with any player. Always be cool and calm in field and also while batting.
Saharan is a reliable batter consistently scores runs in every game, demonstrates diligent running between the wickets, effectively collects runs during the middle overs. His pivotal innings of 81 runs during the semi-final earned him the Player-of-the-Match award.
A strong Batting Line-up
India possesses a formidable batting lineup, led by the prolific Uday Saharan. Musheer Khan and Sachin Dhas have also displayed their prowess by scoring centuries during crucial middle overs. It’s a common occurrence for an Indian player to notch up a century in almost every game.

In bowling departments, Spinner specialist Saumy Pandey, Naman Tiwari, pacer Raj Limbani consistently taking wickets, with Saumy Pandey is the highest wicket taker for Indian U19 team. Musheer Khan who is not only batted well also contributed with crucial breakthroughs throughout the tournament.
Saumy Pandey, India’s vice-captain, has been the standout bowler for India with 16 wickets in five matches at a stunning average of 6.62.
The bowlers also made significant contributions, with Raj Limbani’s pace catching everyone’s attention. Additionally, the left-arm spinners Saumy Pandey played a crucial role by taking important wickets and keeping the opposition’s score in check.
In the field also, India’s all player showcased their fielding talent consistently throughout the 50-over period. Particularly, Abhishek Murugan stood out as the best fielder impressed with some dazzling catches.

This achievement is unprecedented, with the team securing six straight victories without any losses throughout the tournament. India has now reached in the finals of Under-19 World Cup 2024. Furthermore, the team benefited from excellent coaching and access to high-quality training facilities.
India now experiences to their fifth consecutive final appearance in the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024.
The Indian Under-19 cricket team won five Under-19 World Cup title and finished as runners-up thrice. Previously India secured victories under the captaincy of Mohammad Kaif in 2000, Virat Kohli in 2008, Unmukt Chand in 2012, Prithvi Shaw in 2018, and Yash Dhull in 2022.
