Bairstow and Malan opening England’s innings. Dawid Malan’s rapid half-century, England build on their brilliant start. Malan maintaining his strong performance, while Joe Root also settled nicely. They began with a blazing start, Malan who played superbly, scoring 87 off 74 balls before getting run out. After 20 overs, England stood at a strong position of 133/1. However, England is facing a difficult situation as they lose wickets at a steady rate, losing five wickets for just 59 runs, which led to a significant batting collapse.
Nevertheless, it was Ben Stokes, who once again came to England’s rescue. He found a capable partner in Chris Woakes, and together, they put on a crucial partnership of 129 runs for the 7th wicket. Stokes and Woakes rebuilding the innings for England. Importantly, they accelerated England’s run rate, plundering 124 runs in the last 10 overs.
Netherlands bowled really well in the middle to restrict England and then Ben Stokes played a fantastic knock with Woaksy to get a good score.
Stokes, in particular, went from 50 to 100 in just 20 balls, while Woakes reached a quickfire fifty. Netherlands struggled at the death, failing to execute their bowling lengths effectively on a pitch that was highly favorable to batsmen. However, Ben Stokes played a remarkable innings, with valuable support from Chris Woakes, which enabled England to reach a competitive total of 339/5. 108 runs is the highest score for Ben Stokes in World Cups.
Bas de Leede got 3wickets. Aryan Dutt and Van Beek both take 2 wickets each. Van Meekeren got only one wicket.

Netherlands Innings
Barresi and Max ODowd opening the run chase for Netherlands. Max ODowd and Colin Ackermann dismissed earlier. After losing two early wickets of top-order batters, Netherlands found difficulty in run chase.
Three wickets each for spinners Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid, they took the middle order wickets and then wiped off the tail.
Woakes, after his valuable contribution with the bat, continued to make an impact with a superb spell of new-ball bowling, supported by David Willey. They effectively built pressure on the run rate and claimed early wickets, which left the Netherlands team in a challenging position.
By the time the spin bowlers came into action, the Netherlands were already playing catch-up and had to take risks against Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali. Unfortunately, those risks didn’t yield success, leading to a rapid fall of the last five wickets with just 15 runs added to the total. Teja Nidamanuru contributed 41 runs, Scott Edwards 38 runs and Scott Edwards 33 runs.
