The Perth Scorchers’ innings started slowly, with Eskinazi facing challenges due to a right-hand injury, and Whiteman departing without making a significant contribution.

Josh Inglis and captain Aaron Hardie aimed to rebuild the innings, but Inglis fell as he was dismissed by T Murphy. Laurie Evans, in partnership with Aaron Hardie, adopted an aggressive style, starting to hit earlier and resulting in 28 runs coming off one Surge over as Kerr faced a tough time. Cooper Connolly joined in towards the end, contributing valuable runs to the total.
