ICC Under 19 Cricket World Cup 2024 Squad, captain

ICC Under 19 Cricket World Cup 2024 Squad is announced by ICC and is scheduled to be held in South Africa from January to February 2024. Initially, Sri Lanka was the host country for the Under-19 men’s ODI World Cup 2024, but the venue was later changed to South Africa as the International Cricket Council (ICC) made suspension to the Sri Lanka Cricket Board.

The Fifteenth edition Under-19 World Cup is set to take place in South Africa from 19 January to 11 February 2024. Sixteen teams are scheduled to participate in the ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup in South Africa 2024, competing in a total of 41 matches. Each team chose a squad of fifteen players for the tournament, excluding reserves.

ICC U19 Men’s ODI World Cup Groups

Group A: India, Bangladesh, Ireland, USA

Group B: England, South Africa, West Indies, Scotland

Group C: Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Namibia

Group D: Afghanistan, Pakistan, New Zealand, Nepal

The top three teams from each group will progress to the Super Six Stage.

Moreover, the teams finishing in fourth place in each group will play an additional match against another fourth-placed team before the tournament’s conclusion.

The teams finishing in fourth place in Groups A and D will face each other, while the fourth-placed teams in Groups B and C will also compete against each other before concluding their respective tournaments.

The Super Six stage comprises two groups of six teams, consisting of the top three teams from Groups A and D, and the top three teams from Groups B and C. Each team will retain the points, wins, and Net Run Rate (NRR) they earned with Super Six qualifying teams.

In the Super Six stage, every team competes in two matches against opponents from the corresponding Group who finished in different positions during the Group stage. For instance, the top team in Group A (A1) will face the teams placed second and third in Group D (D2 and D3).

Following the completion of the Super Six stage fixtures, the top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinal stage. The winners of the semifinals will then compete in the final on February 11^th, 2024.
