Nissanka and Kusal Perera opened the Srilankan innings. Ngidi open the attack. Sri Lankan openers started run chase slowly. In the 2nd over Marco Jansen bowled Nissanka, and without scoring any run he sent back to the pavilion. Kusal Perera also bowled by Maro Jansen. 2 quick wickets off successive overs derailed the chase completely for Srilanka.
Kusal Mendis and Sadeera Samarawickrama stand a good partnership. At 12.4 over Rabada dismissed Kusal Mendis, he played in an explosive manner and scored 76 runs from only 42 balls, hitting 8 sixs and 4 fours.
