RR vs MI Highlights
Mumbai Indians Innings
Both teams got what they wanted at the toss. Rajasthan Royals pacers dismantle MI’s top-order. Trent Boult and Sandeep Sharma utilize early swing superbly. Rohit was dismissed in the first over by Boult. Sandeep sends Kishan to Golden Duck in the next over.
SKY became Sandeep Sharma’s second victim and fell to him for the fourth time in the IPL. While they were reduced to 20/4 in the reverse fixture, MI was 20/3 today.
Nabi got a promotion and looked in good touch, but he was dismissed by Chahal, who became the first IPL player to pick 200 wickets. At 52/4, Mumbai was in a spot of bother; that’s when Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera not only did the two youngsters stabilized the innings by counterattacking, they also put MI in a very good position (151/4 after 16 overs).
Wadhera, playing his first match of the season, fell for 49, and RR came back strongly in the death overs. In the last 4 overs, they managed 28 runs and took 5 wickets. While Avesh Khan nailed the yorkers in the penultimate powerplay, Sandeep bowled outside the batters’ hitting zone to pick up three wickets in the 20th over and claim a five-wicket haul in his comeback match.

RR vs MI Highlights
Rajasthan Royals Innings
Superb start from the RR openers Jaiswal and Buttler. Jaiswal doesn’t go ultra-aggressive for a change and finds his timing again. Rajasthan is off to a flying start. This is their best opening stand of the season.
Rajasthan Royals strengthened their position at the top with seven wins in eight matches. The one little wrinkle of Jaiswal not scoring runs has also been ironed out today. He looks chuffed as he gets a big hug from Jos Buttler. The two were seen having a long conversation during the rain break, and while Buttler didn’t last too long after the resumption, his younger partner carried on all the way.
MI’s decision to bat first didn’t work out the way they’d have wanted. They got the worst of the conditions, with the ball stopping in the first innings and then coming on much better in the second as the rain came down and the outfield became damp. Their fielding was shoddy as well with two chances going down, and Jaiswal made them pay heavily.
