Lucknow Super Giants Innings

Lucknow Super Giants have posted an impressive total. Quinton de Kock started strongly, forming a 50+ partnership with captain Rahul. Although LSG lost some momentum after the powerplay, Dagar and Green allowed de Kock and Stoinis to accelerate, building another quick 50+ partnership. Maxwell managed to break this partnership, giving RCB hope of a comeback.

However, a dropped catch by Rawat off Pooran’s bat in the 17th over proved costly as Pooran capitalized by hitting five sixes in the last two overs, propelling LSG beyond the 180-run mark.

Glenn Maxwell secured two wickets while Topley, Yash Dayal, and Siraj each claimed one wicket.

The visitors delivered a clinical performance, posting an above-par total after being inserted to bat on a tricky pitch. Although the RCB bowlers had their moments, Quinton de Kock’s half-century, Stoinis’s crucial contribution in the middle overs, and Pooran’s five sixes in the death overs propelled LSG beyond the 180-run mark.

In the second innings, LSG opted for two left-arm spinners against Faf and Kohli. Siddharth made a promising start, bowling with pace and precision. Despite conceding three boundaries in quick succession, the young spinner cleverly deceived the in-form batter Virat Kohli with a slower delivery. Mayank Yadav, known for his pace, made an impact as he was introduced in the final over of the powerplay.

Poor running combined with Padikkal’s brilliance led to Faf’s dismissal, while Maxwell was dismissed for a duck by Mayank. The 21-year-old claimed another wicket in his next over, dismissing Green. Mayank Yadav’s three-wicket and Naveen ul-Haq’s two, RCB managed to score only 153 runs with a loss of 10 wickets.
