The spinners have pulled things back brilliantly for England. Afghanistan was all out for 284 runs. Opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz was the top scorer for Afghanistan, contributing an impressive 80 off 57 balls before being run out. His opening partner, Ibrahim Zadran, added 28 runs in a first-wicket partnership of 114 runs in 16 overs.

Adil Rashid was the most successful bowler, picking up three wickets for 42 runs. Mark Wood took two wickets. R Topley, Livingstone, and Root each take a single wicket.
