Shreyas Iyer’s decision to bat first on a batting-friendly pitch paid off as their batsmen showed an outstanding performance especially Narine, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Russell, and Rinku Singh.
Sunil Narine’s explosive innings at the top marked his highest score in T20 cricket. Russell unleashes his trademark power-hitting towards the end. 18-year-old Angkrish Raghuvanshi didn’t look like a debutant, showcased fearless batting mastery. Rinku Singh also gained momentum and struck the ball very hard, scoring 26 runs off 8 deliveries.
Narine scored 85 runs by playing 39 balls. Angkrish Raghuvanshi also scored half century.
Nortje took three wickets while Ishant Sharma claimed two wickets. Khaleel Ahmed and Mitchell Marsh each secured one wicket.

Delhi Capitals Innings
KKR dominated the game from start to end. Narine’s aggressive batting, Raghuvanshi’s elegant innings, and quick contributions from Russell and Rinku Singh propelled KKR to their highest-ever total.
It was a tough task for Delhi Capitals from the start, as they struggled during the powerplay, losing four early wickets. Rishabh Pant and Stubbs provided some resistance with their fluent stroke-making, forging a crucial 93-run partnership. Both batters scored a half-century.
However, once that partnership was broken, DC’s batting line-up crumbled under pressure. DC scored a total of 166/10 within 17.2 overs.
Starc claimed his first two wickets of IPL 2024, Arora impressed with a three-wicket haul, and Chakravarthy also secured three wickets.
DC’s failure to make effective use of the Decision Review System (DRS) added to their woes, with one key dismissal being that of Narine.
