A total of 333 players shortlisted for the IPL 2024 auction, was unveiled on Sunday, December 11. Among them, 119 are from overseas and 214 are Indian players, including two players from associate countries.

The auction is scheduled for Dec 19 in Dubai and will commence at 2 pm IST. A maximum of 77 slots are available to be filled, with a maximum of 30 overseas slots. The total purse available for spending is INR 262.95 Crore.

23 players, including Indian players Shardul Thakur, Harshal Patel, and Umesh Yadav, have set the highest reserve price of INR 2 Crore.

The remaining 20 players listed under the highest base price include Travis Head, Harry Brook, Steve Smith, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Josh Inglis, Mitchell Starc, Rilee Rossouw, Gerald Coetzee, Chris Woakes, Lockie Ferguson, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Rassie van der Dussen, Adil Rashid, James Vince, Sean Abbott, Jamie Overton, Mustafizur Rahman, Ben Duckett, and David Willey.

There are 116 capped players, 215 uncapped players and 2 are from associate nations.

A total of 23 players have been placed in the highest reserve price for IPL 2024. Seven Australian players are entering the auction with a base price of INR 2 Crore, including Travis Head. Seven England cricketers including Harry Brook. Three South Africans including Pacer Coetzee. Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman, Afghanistan’s Mujeeb Ur Rahman, and New Zealand’s Lockie Ferguson.

Australia’s Mitchell Starc is set to be part of the auction and Josh Hazlewood may miss the first half as expecting the birth of his child during the IPL season but is still listed in the top price bracket.

In the second-highest base price category of INR 1.5 Crore, there are 13 overseas players, including Phillip Salt, Wanindu Hasaranga, Tim Southee, Colin Munro, Daniel Sams, Sherfane Rutherford, Tom Curran, Mohammad Nabi, James Neesham, Jason Holder, Tymal Mills, Jhye Richardson, and Chris Jordan.

Fourteen players, including Namibia’s David Wiese, are listed in the INR 1 Crore bracket. Additionally, eleven players are in the INR 75 Lakh bracket, with Netherlands’ Paul van Meekeren being the other associate player listed in the INR 20 Lakh base price bracket.

New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra and Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai are both listed in the INR 50 Lakh bracket.
